From the beginning, we have maintained the position of raising the quality of annatto production on a national scale. With over 30 years of agricultural and business experience, our focus on the development of the best seed varieties - made at our own experimental field - has led to a big increase in the concentration of bixin in the seeds, what results in huge cost savings for our buyers.
We are the link between farmers and the dye extraction industry. To guarantee the full excellence of our product, we have our nurseries that produce annatto seedlings, from seeds previously selected and approved.
We offer continuous advice to farmers in the management of their crops, with guidance on cultivation, harvesting and processing techniques. In addition to taking care of production, we also aim for farmers' sustainability, with a commercial advisory service that guarantees them the best compensation according to the market moment.

In addition to technical rigor in processing, we have implemented a vacuum packaging system, which is done right after cleaning seeds at our facilities. The vacuum process is fundamental for the conservation of seed properties, especially bixin. It consists of extracting oxygen and preventing the action of light, which are the main factors that cause seed degradation.
Metallized 25 kg containers or 1-ton poly-nylon raffia bags are modern, safe and ready for long-term storage. The seeds are then stored at room temperature in drive-in structures. Besides facilitating storage, the vacuum system allows the buyer to store the product for long periods, without worrying about possible yield losses of the raw material that will be maintained. This is another approach adopted by us as a strategy of mutual benefit for farmers and the industry.
The seeds are collected from the farms by our transportation, or brought by the producers, and are received in our warehouse immediately after the pre-processing in the field. We supply producers with virgin raffia sacks or raffia bags for seed packaging, to avoid cross-contamination.
All seed batches go through the moisture level control, are identified with the name of the producer, its location, weight, and volume of bags. Upon receipt, the seeds proceed to the cleaning process to extract impurities from the field. In the same machine, they are packed in 1-ton raffia bags with an inner poly-nylon bag.
Urucum do Brasil also offers its customers a complete logistics service, with its own storage and transportation infrastructure.
